About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Director to lead and manage client relationships at our integrated marketing agency. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple client accounts, developing strategic marketing plans, and ensuring the successful execution of campaigns. You will work closely with internal teams, including creative, media, and analytics, to deliver innovative solutions that drive results. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of marketing strategies, and a proven ability to manage client expectations while delivering top-tier service. As an Account Director, you will also mentor and guide a team, ensuring their growth and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. This role reports directly to the Director of PR.

Responsibilities:

Account Leadership & Strategy:

  • Be an innovative, entrepreneurial leader, driving strategic direction for multiple client accounts.
  • Develop and oversee PR and marketing strategies that align with client business objectives.
  • Provide high-level strategic counsel, ensuring initiatives evolve with market dynamics.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to clients and teams.

Client Management & Communication:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Lead client presentations, reporting, and strategic discussions.
  • Set up accounts for success, including onboarding, organization, and communication protocols.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Campaign & Project Execution:

  • Oversee campaign execution, managing timelines, deliverables, and team alignment.
  • Work cross-functionally with creative, digital, and social teams to ensure integrated strategies.
  • Draft and oversee communication materials (media pitches, news releases, key messaging, etc.).
  • Advise on media outreach plans, timelines, and market strategies.

Performance & Reporting:

  • Track campaign performance, flagging issues and optimizing strategies as needed.
  • Prepare client reports and presentations with insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct market research to inform data-driven decisions and enhance client strategies.

Problem-Solving & Operations:

  • Address challenges proactively, ensuring projects stay on track.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in PR, communications, or marketing; agency experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end client execution, including communications, influencer campaigns, media relations and buying, and strategic planning.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Direct account management experience, including overseeing teams and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Business-savvy with experience analyzing insights and making data-driven campaign optimizations.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams across digital and creative.
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing client demands, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong media and influencer relationships, and a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of both.
  • Results-driven with a process-oriented approach to execution.
